st.johns newfoundland
i just got a new 5'' female jack Dempsey from my lfs.
so i bring it home and add her to the new tank with a 6'' male jack Dempsey and a 4'' male jack Dempsey and also theres a 4'' male firemouth in there.
the 6'' male jack Dempsey is always flaring next to the female and always follows her , is this a sign of breeding?.
The female jack Dempsey chases away the small jack and the firemouth and goes with the bigger jd to there (hotel). The bigger male jd keeps brushing off the slate rock and cleans his cave out now.

What am i seeing here, i suspect to be breeding, but i want some other answers to see what you mfk'ers think

yes my convicts do the same thing you may want to seprate the jd pair from the rest of the fish.

Once the fry are free swimming the pair may flip out and kill the other two fish, keep an eye on them.Congrats on the fry!
