yes, espaesially since he is already taking frozen bloodworms and feeder fish. I was suprised cause i didn't really have to starve him. But yah. He is a cool fish. U will love yours. I want to get some more probly 2-4 more
The only thing i know is they grow slow
Here's one link I found.

I have one that I bought at 5 inches about 3 months ago. All it eats is dried krill, and shrimp. I just got it started eating beefheart. Since then, it only grew about half an inch. My take on it, and since I am no expert on thinbars, it's a slow grower. The rest of the info is at that website. I will try to look for some more. The one I have is very intelligent. At 3 inches, they are very easy to get sick. When I change water, and add salt, this thinbar practically "soaks" itself on the salt, and just kinda saturates itself with salt. Mine looks healthier now than when I got it first. Hard to keep, but well worth it.

Prob. Slow we had our Dat for at least 3months and he hasn't really grown that much. I know this is a little off topic but does anyone know when Dat's are in season or at least in season in FL?? I know we cant get them in fall/winter months.
