The "Eye-Spotted" one... Truly one of the MOST beautiful, and highly sought after species out there in the hobby/market... (in the same category w/ aurantimaculata, and the 'TRUE' barca!)... just wondering if there were anyone here fortunate enough to keep/own this incredible animal?? :hearts: Care to make any comments?... Are they truly as blue as they appera to be in some pics?? :uhoh:
Beautiful Channa! I want one!!!

the color tends to be more metallic green than blue.
the blue ones are kinda rare. Whether or not the color is tt striking depends on your tank lighting. :naughty:
They are readily available in U.K. currently selling for £5 or $9,we have 5 between 4"-6",one thing that is apparent, even though we bought 2 larger first and then 3 smaller they seem to keep together like a pack, even all going up for air at the same time.Ours are more green than blue as they have juvenile colours, and they vary in the number of spots, some with spots on gills, some on tails. One pic on gallery but as they grow we will get more, unfortunately their tank is half blocked by another at the moment. Also seen them labeled as SAKURA snakeheads.

Check out this site, they have link to supplier I think in North of England (Although I could be wrong).Good site for snakeheads especially if you speak German for scientific and historical data. http://www.snakeheads.org/
