I took a picture of it when I visited the Philippines. It was on display at a fish show inside a mall.
Anyway, I tried to ask a worker at the show but somehow that didn't work out.
What is it?

Thanks

Hey, that's a critically endangered species! How/where did he get one anyway?
Very nice cichlid...My wife and I fell in love with it once we saw it. Very pretty. Looks like a grand champion!

bOOsteN aUdI - There might have been other cichlids but this was the only one that caught my eye.
However, there were tanks and tanks and tanks of flowerhorns and a couple of tanks of arowanas:

I am so sorry to tell you this but I believe those FH are ugly but to each his own I still do respect the selective breeding that would lead to such a large hump...

Just saw this thread :)

I got this fish a few years backs, I was asked by a friend if he could enter it in the show was surprised that it won. I think I have pictures of the entire colony in my gallery, was lucky enough to get two breeding pairs.

So it's breeding that makes that HUGE hump? Do all flowerhorns get that? Are flowerhorns the only fish that get the huge hump?

lots of fish get humps its normally the males. check out blockhead cichlids on a google search. its totally pointless to promote them in the species but asia is very diffrent to where i come from. its hard for me to understand it for sure

Do normal fish (non-hybrids) get a hump that big?
