i have on ein a 90 and it is 6in at the moment. how long before he outgrows the tank?

lol 3 months!!!!, more like 2 with good feedings. lol. you should start them out in 150"s then move way on up

there are many factors.

water quality, diet, tank mates, other cichla for tank mates, and species.

tHESE ARE BEAUTIFUL FISH, WILL THEY STAY SHORT AND GET A HUMP IN THEIR BACK LIKE OSCARS KEPT IN TO SMALL A TANK?
