I think female as I have seen a male and mine has a lot more yellow then that one. Currently just over 13". Favourite of my Snakeheads. Takes food right outa my hand.

I tried to get terry from wholesale tropicals to order one, as they deliver, and I bet the price would be better - but no luck :(

Lots of people have had success keeping them with others, Phull for one, he might be able to comment, however mine was fine when smaller and didn't bother anyone, she has now recently developed an aggresive streak and I would not consider now putting anything with her.

As with all these guys every individual is different. No guarantees!

Also anything under two thirds her length, she has a massive mouth.

I just had a look at phull's gallery - he has the coolest "brown bichir eel" and "fire eel" I have ever seen :ROFL: :ROFL: :thumbsup:
