I don't think I have ever seen a meet for out in this area, wondering if anyone would be interested in setting one up? I'd love to meet fellow mfkers and it'd be great to have some vendors that I know around here be able to display their fish....

Yup.....I'm a native here in this stupid corn field.
Meets? I think there's only like 4 here on MFK from Iowa. But if there was a meet somewhere I would probobly go.......It would have to be more promising than traveling to the far corners of this state to visit fish shops that are SUPPOSED to be worth visiting.

I'm barely in NE, MN is pretty far from here, I'm just about on the border of all 4 states...if it wasn't such a drive I'd love to be there, but it'd be one heck of a drive...

Ah I see.
This summer i'll be on that until then....nope, but http://topicaltropicalfishforum.forumup.org/ has got about 15 nebraska fishkeepers there although not many of them get too much in the range of monster fish, they still have meets every now and then.

Im new to MFK, but have been a long time lurker. The only meets that I know of in Omaha are from the Omaha Marine Society. I think they are member only.

I just checked out their website and it looks like they are Salt only guys. Too bad there wasn't a Freshwater group like that around here.

Try "Malawi Aquatics" for cichlids and sometimes mini-monsters.
I go there a lot.

Anyone from Omaha, or close, want to do a group buy from one of the MFK vendors? I've been looking for a Delhezi, for a while now with no luck. I am not picky, shoot me a pm if you guys find one and want to save on shipping.

I am a member to both organizations, I live in Kansas City, MO and would love to find a way to organize an event. I recomend both organizations because they have meetings/auctions and such often. Dates are also given and everyone is Great w/ help in any way, too bad I work when they meet monthly:(

Hey fishbait2 (http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/member.php?u=30144) and Darksideup (http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/member.php?u=30751), I am in Raymore, Mo. Are there any good stores around that you all know about? I can't find much of anything and usually order online. I have 2 oscars, 1 midas, 1 Jag, 1 Front, 1 pangnius cat--not sure of spelling, and 1 electric blue JD.
