ok puffer nuts. Whats the deal with the varients. Check out the caudle fins of these SA puffers. It's not any kind of stress markings as this guy has been the same since he came in.

actually fahaka puffers are probly one of the most aggresive fish .....pound for pound i don't believe that any fish can take down a puffer of the same size...They are very intelligent very vengful fish...and they kick ass :woot:

I thought the same thing until i saw miles eat a redclaw crab peice by peice. Gold fish would be trying to swim away with their intestines hanging out while he chews on their kidneys. mmmm ;) I'm not saying they are different sp. just wondering if the color is from location or what.

I had a 9" Fakaka take out a 16' Aba Aba, the puffer literally freaked out one day and fought back. Cept when a fakaka bites its usually leathal, it crunched the Aba's skull. So much for being a cutey pie eh???

There is a great pic in another thread of about 1/2 a finger, results of a puffer bite.

Funnie thing is that my SA puffers were given some guppies to feed on (just to nibble) they have been in with 50 and none have been even touched.
