Booking a flight shouldn't be expensive. I'd check that first before committing to drive because it's a long way from the NE.
BTW Marc I feel the same way. As I said I need a chance to get away like Levi said so I'm pretty sure I'm going. But either way there will be no shortage of MFK'ers I'm sure.

I will be in Chicago during this time setting my brother up with a tank for rays so I am definitely going to try to make it.
Best place to network since my rays will be kept in Chicago :)
I'm thinking of driving. Any MKF'rs want to do a road trip =-)

This is a one time only thing & a once in a lifetime opportunity. I encourage all to come, even if you are not a ray freak because the information we are all going to get is priceless. This symposium encompasses all aspects of large fish (ray) raising so not only will you get a whole butt load if info on rays but also on monster tank building & filtration. Everytime I look throught the speakers & the topics I get soooo freaking excited! I hope to see you all there!

Just wanted to bump this one after the changes to the numbers being allowed to go.
For anyone is going to be in the area, but wasn't registered in time to get in on the 50 attending the event..... would anyone be up for an MFK meet? I'm going to be in town with some other aquarists who aren't able to attend. We could still wander around, see Shedd Aq from the guest point of view and see some of the other sites in Chicago.
Interest?????

I was planning on it, but I was hoping for a better turnout. I didn't even have a ray and I wanted to be there. I was really surprised to see we couldn't meet the quota.
