47.5 gal. for 9 rbps is kinda tight they will out grow that tank very quick!

Usually half get eaten, not a bad idea to start with 9 small ones.

i agree you can always choose the best ones too keep and sell the rest on if theres any spare left.

you can, if the tank is bigg enogh. but my tank is smal so 9 will kill eatsh other to get more space..
That size.. They will stay together for a long time before any of them get eaten.. Nice tank!!! Good luck..

I had 4 and after about 4 month's there was 1 left. The funny thing was that the one ate the other on christmas day!!. I fed them about 4 times a week. And they were in a 55 gallon.

If you want all of them to live have lot's of hiding places for them and always keep feeders in the tank. lot's of plants help out alot and should be ok until they reach 4" then you will be in trouble.
