I know i might sound dumb posting this, but should i mist my rtb cage daily,to prevent him from drying out, also i need your opinions on the heating of my tank.Would two 75 watt infared lights on opposite sides of the tank,be alrite left on 24 hours a day.I just want him to be comfortable everywhere instead of having one comfortable side.

Sorry, its just the percent of humidity is kind of important to know before aquiring the animal.

you wouldnt want to bulbs on each side of the tank. you want it to be able to regulate its temps. the size of the bulbs you use is gonna relate to how big of a cage you have and what your house temps are. you probably will need to experiment. i would set up the tank like this. on side of the tank have the appropriate size bulb, the other side of the tank would be the cool side then. the cool side is where i would keep the water dish. you will want to have a hide on each side of the tank. and then throw in whatever branches and decorations you have. maybe a nice log a little higher on the warm side so he can get closer to the heat. your daytime temps on the warm side should be 85-90 degrees. cool side in the upper 70s. at night your tank can cool down to like 75. i would just get an infrared bulb and leave it on 24/7 on the warm side. i would use a flourescent light on a timer for a day night cycle. as for misting, i thnk you dont have to if you got the big water dish in there. maybe when its going through a shed mist to help with shedding. just make sure the tank isnt soaked. you dont want your snake sitting in cool dampness at night. might get sick. mist in the morning (just a little) so tank has a chance to dry out before night time when the temps get a ltitle cooler

I agree. Nooo heat bulbs on both sides.
Your pet will be comfortable with one cool, and one warm end, not two warm ends.

It's important to not overmist LC, they need a period of drying out too.

Don't mist every hour, LC. First of all, there's no conceivable way that you could keep up with that, and secondly, that would result in a overly wet cage that will become a breeding ground for bacteria and mold. A snake that lives in a constantly wet environment will eventually develop blister disease or scale rot.

Remember, wet does not equal humid.

I wouldnt use lamps at all because they dry ot the cage. Heat pads are the way to go.
Yep, pretty sure he should have know EVERYTHING before buying the animal

do you have any boas?

Why no, I must say that I do not own any snakes at all. That by no means it does not mean I know nothing about them. The exact opposite is the same for you. I choose not to keep them.
