Don't know if they're sterile or not. Doesn't matter in an aquarium setting. You'd need a huge pond to breed either species in. The opposite seems to be true concerning size. Most hybridized fish seem to grow larger than either parent species. Not sure just how large they'll grow. These morphs are fairly new to the hobby. I guess it would depend on which parent species genes are dominant in the hybrid.

yeah, most types crossbreeds produce offspring with what's known 'hybrid vigor'. in these cases the young grow larger and faster than the parents and are generally hardier

Yeah i heard they grow bigger than parents well done that man turdbuglar its called hybrid vigour :clap . bet they get bout 5 - 6 foot but then again rtc and tsc get 5.5 foot. i would love something like a tank 25'x7'x6' that would be gr8 :screwy: lol
they all so tend to be more aggresive then both parent's , but as fair as health some hybrid's are weak fish ( sensitive ) not tallerant of sudden and drastic enviornment changes...

I've never seen a full sized adult, so I'm wondering how big they get as well.
I have a 6 incher and he's growing very fast. Definetely not a shy fish at all!

hmm, this particular one has not been growing as fast as i expected. i've had it for probably 4 or 5 months and it's probably doubled in length. it's now about 7".
it's in a tank with a perruno catfish that has been growing much faster. when i got the perruno they where both about 5", 3 months ago. now the perruno is about 10"
