its a Crocodile gar type two which is a Florida gar mix with a gator gar. Its the rarest gar species and no it not mine..

I'll answer that..
1. no it is not his..
2. it is a Hybrid Atractosteus spatula X Lepisosteus oculatus / platyrhinchus.. We actually do not know what it is hybridized with and are taking an educated guess..

Questions about this fish should be directed to E_americanus the real owner of the fish..
And yes it is the rarest one as there is only one in existence. The photo used in Erics avatar is taken off of www.Primitivefish.com..

Eric you really need to stop using this fish in your avatar and knock of the association of it with you...It is great that your a fan of this fish but you do not own it nor do you have any real history with it. Please leave specific questions about this fish to those that do know something about it. E_americanus and to a lesser degree Myself should be the ones saying anything about this fish no one else.

And why the hell are all the small Gators popping up in Cali where they are Illegal....I still can not find one locally...

you know you got it bad when you walk into your lfs and they take you too the secret tanks in the back. sorry you cant find one they are really cool.( has 3 left). these fish were a friends pride and joy and only up for sale for the right keepers.(almost calling my name....weird!!!) good luck in motor city.
