If it is going to be a shovelnose cat, make it a Lima. A Tiger Shovelnose grows 3ft.

i think you could definitely add maybe one or two more similiar sized cichlids. i have a 125gallon tank and have 3 oscars, 1 jaguar, 2 gt's, 1 peacock bass, 2 blue channel cats and 2 plecos. i know once most of these fish are close to full grown i will have to get a bigger tank(i cant wait but my fiance will freak) so hopefully i can get by for a year until i need to get a 200+ gallon tank.

This is going to be my only tank for another 2-3years......if I have money I'll step to a 240-300gal.

I agree. Plus a tiger shovelnose or RTC would eat your GT/JD's eventually. Stick with a smaller catfish and possibly more cichlids. As long as your filtration can handled the bioload you're not overstocked. :)

IMO you are perfectly fine if you got rid of the aro, i believe you could get maybe 2-4 more cichlids of similar size.
