Well I went an bought another TSN today, I wanted to give it another shot as the last one died of starvation different LFS this time to. I got the biggest of the 4 that were there, an didnt notice then that one of his pectoral fins is almost gone, theres a lil nub left. I assume he got attacked by a bigger fish at one point, Im not sure if itll grow back. But Ive decided to keep him an he shall be named Nemo as he has a "lucky fin" :ROFL:
He was a lil lazy at first, but after i turned the lights off for a few Min he started swimming around. Hes also gor a lil diff color on parts of his Stomach.

Reminds me of my first TSN. I bought it at 2" and now its in my uncle's indoor koi pond topping somewhere around the 36" mark. It's insane how fast they grow.

Nice Fish!!! :thumbsup: Maybe it was born like that? Mine was born with no pelvic fins, it only has a stub on the right side.

Ya this is my second TSN I bought one a few months back but the lil guy refused to eat an died :( . My cousin had one years ago that got like 25" before he traded it for a asian red tail cat.

Thats a possibility, I never thought bout that.

thanks he had the best coloring an was the biggest of the four that were there.
nice fish. i gave mine to my brother, hes got alot more room then i do. fish is getting big very quickly.

Ya once he starts growing Im planning on limiting his food like I have with my marble cat, so he wont get to big to quickly.

Its in a 300g right now. when it out grows that i'm not sure what to do with it.

The one I just got was 20.00 the one before this one I payed 25.00 an he was smaller.

Hes doing well, has grown a bit an is now eating Tilapia like 3 of my other Carnivors.

well mine also had a missing fin. (and also named nemo<~my wife picked it) wonderful fish. left side missing fin.

great eye joeytoe, he's around 12" or a little more, but im spoiling my TSN for a moment cuz my RTC is a pig and eats everything before the TSN can get to it. and i wanna make sure my RTC doesnt get too big and make a lunch of my TSN. so far so good.

Ya I hear ya there My marble cat Dwarfs my TSN big time so I take extra care so the TSN gets all the food that is meant for him.

I almost got a RTC when I got my Marble cat, but the LFS was outve RTCs. I think if I had to choose between a RTC an a TSNxRTC Id probally go with the TSNxRTC.
RTCs, marble cats just remind me of bullhead an flathead cats I catch when fishing, there just a tad more colorful.

2 x 125, 55, 29, 3x10. 400 gal hoping by next year (almost got one 5x5x3 but not the dimensions i wanted). :thumbsup: pond plans or straight to the fryin pans. LOL :grinyes: jk still contemplatin between a 210 or 400. live on the 2nd floor dont want the aquarium to go through the floor. :ROFL:

Id say 210, unless you plans to move to a first floor or basement place, then get the 400.

just spoke to my contact person on the 210, it's gone, so hmmmm just need to keep my eye open here. there's a couple of more contacts....... i guess im stuck with the 400...maybe i can just not fill it up to the top.... :grinyes: till i get more solid ground. :thumbsup:
