would it make a good match? the gold clown is about 7 1/2 inches..the young fire eel my friend is willing to sell to me is about 14 inches..would they get along?

I think they'll get along just fine. I have a cave for my spiny eels because they love to hide. Neither is very aggressive. How big is your tank? clown knifes can get pretty big!

They would most likely make a good match, as long as your tank is large enough.

Should be fine. I've seen a few tanks with a CK/Eel combo.

i have a tire track ell that is about 18" he is only aggressive at feeding time(but only to his food).there is one albino ck about 12"in with him among other things. just watch for signs of distress. imo that combo will do just fine.my ell loves to hang out in a couple of pieces of black plumbing abs pipe1 1/2" in diameter(no glue) under a rock and facing toward the front of my tank. he is almost always there. gl with your fish,and keep us posted.

Thanks! but i decided to keep the fire eel and the ck seperate. Though i keep the ck with the my tire track and they do fine
