Why does everyone keep asking about mixing piranha with every fish out there? They are freakin' eating machines people. You cant even mix most piranha with other piranha, what makes you think you can put a peaceful community fish with no teeth in with them.

i saw an oscar with some once. like 4 or 5. it was a vid on here. ppl ask this because they want pirahnas but also other things or they have a fish and want piranah also but not willing to give up thier fish.
i've seen people keep fish with p's (rbp's) for 2-3 years and i've seen people get there fish eaten in 2 seconds. it all depends on the fishes personality. BUT you must realize this EVERY SINGLE FISH you put with p's WILL DIE, yes they will die EVENTUALLY at some point will be eaten. if you want a species to last your best chances are to wait till your p's are over 5 inches, then you can put liek 50 neon tetra's with them and they will live for a long time becuase they are fast and the p's dont care to eat them becuase they are so small.
Good point i have tried to put 4 angel fish in a tank with some rbp's and they lasted till morning. putting non aggressive fish with piranha is a waste of money.

bud, every fish is different. i have had the same 4 guppies in my tank for almost a year now. go on piranha fury and tons of peopel have kept fish with there P's. its all a chance you dont know when they will finally get eaten could be right away could be a year, they eventually will die. PERIOD
i agree dan........they will slowly but surely ruin most fishes fins and in DUE time eat them for dinner. there are fish that can bully the p's as well, but if you get a p mad think of the damage they can inflict!!! they are top predators/scavengers never bet your money on anything working LONG TERM

imo rbp's should be kept in a tank of only rbp's some owner even have problem's with the fish rippin apart there own kind during feeding , they just get so excited they snapp wildly. kind of like the saying'' shoot first ask question's later''!!.. hahahah. they do kill their own kind. i started with 6 and ended up with 2 and none were killed by the larger cichlids, they ate the others one by one till just they were left...it was cool to see the interactions though
