Just got him yesterday he is like 2 inches and VERY hungry,he found a nice "cave" and seems really happy. He was the runt of the tank and was getting pushed around, the clerk told me he wasnt getting much of the food because of the bigger tsn's in the tank so i got him half price,i really feel kinda of good that i found him and probably saved his life.By the way what is a good staple diet for him??THANKS:naughty::naughty::naughty: P.S. this makes up for losing my new Aro.

blood worms, krill,shrimp ,
sometimes if they are not accepting any other foods its good to give them live till they grow a bit and then can be taught to accept dry food or meaty foods
they are really awesome fish
i guess you know what you are doing though
you might start working on a pond after the first three months or so
they grow huge just as fast or faster as the RTCs

you can feed him shrimp after removing the shell and chop them to small pieces
most of the catfish are made by nature to eat crustaceans
but you can always feed him blood worms, meal worms, tiny pieces of beef heart or chicken heart

never had a problem I always bottle feed my baby catfish blood worms. Usually they will eat right after introduction to an aquarium. I suck blood worms into a eyedropper, and put that in front of the lil catfish' or above him if skittish, and squez the blood worms out right in front of them or above them. Usually this works like magic.

they tend to eat a lot
as they need a lot for their incredible fast growth
