Well my peacock bass has its left lower jaw torn. It is still attached but it is hanging. It got it last night during feeding time. An anchovy was hanging in its mouth and here comes the maguense who grabbed the other end. It got the other half of the fish and also the peacock bass' lower jaw which the left side is now torn.

Is this treatable? Which medications? Leave it as it is? I'll provide photos later today.

melafix/pimafix... i forget which one or could be together for better results... just read up on it... but yes definitly treat that open wound or else it will become infected and will not heal correctly or even get worse...

^Based on your avatar, it is more like a tip of the jaw. I will try to get photos tonight or tomorrow morning. It is torn but not totally.

I will. I am thinking of transferring it tomorrow at my QYT tank and dousing it with Melafix.

That's not too bad. As long as he can eat I think he'll be fine. Make sure your temp is up higher than 86*. Add some melafix.. just treat the whole tank. Watch for infection. Keep the water as clean as you can.
