This is the ray on AquaBid being sold for $25 as a "Teacup"....of course. The pictures the guy sent me aren't great, but in the second one you can see that it does have a very faint pattern. You may have to enlarge it to see it. Also....does it look healthy? In all the pictures I can see the pelvic bones, but overall it doesn't look extremely underweight.

It looks sucked up. But for $25.00 thats not a bad price for a ray.

I think at that price its worth the risk as it would prbably get feeding again.

The guy said it is eating well....my guess is that he may only be feeding it once a day, or just not enough. We all know rays are in a constant feeding mode and need alot of food.
My guess was retic, but i'm just a novice.

if you do buy it, be prepared to feed it 2-3 times a day, in large buffet quantities or blackworms or bloodworms, or shirmp, or prawns. He might not last too much longer in that state

Im pretty positive it is a retic. Better condition then most at LFS. Looks like a good deal to me!

Any one read the AB ad, it is 6-8 inches diameter living in a 29 gallon tank. You should buy it just to get it in a larger tank.

How are you guys seeing humerosa? Look at the tail in the third picture...screams reticulatus to me!

I certainly agree that it is in a rediculously small tank. I would love to buy it right now but I need another tank. I am looking for a 180 (6x2x2) if anyone knows where I can get a good deal on one.

It is a retic. The pattern is small and tight and it is stressed so that the color is washed out. It is also on white sand.

i doubt its a retic, looks nothing like it. Also, being a former retic owner, I know if it was a retic and it was so stressed that the color changed like that, you can almost guarantee it would never reach the size of 6-8 inches!

nope
the problem is there are so many variants of rays it's hard to tell, but it really doesn't matter. if the owner likes it then it his his ray!

That is a reticulata as colin noted with a washed out pattern.
