I lost: 2 Black arows, 1 Jardini, a motoro X-bred ray and a Tigrinus cat, due to the fact I had my windows open (spring of last year) and my neighbor had Chem-Lawn spray his yard and it was breezy--came home to find my fish in my living-room (from the list above) dead  and my fish in other rooms acting stressed. After many water changes the remaining fish survived.

What did you end up putting in the tank after that?

after washing out the filter pads & cleaning the bio-balls of the wet/dry, many water changes, then recycling the tank--it now has:

1-Silver arowana-25''
1-Jardini arowana-22''
2- Managuenses-13'' & 14''
2-Jacks Dempseys-8'' & 10''
1-Green Terror-9''
1-Buttikoferi-12''
1-Fire Eel-20''
1-Pleco-14''

I would have been pissed. Especially about losing that tigrinus cat, not to mention 3 arows and a ray.

I was pretty bummed out,

but lesson leared-- keep windows closed when you see the little yellow or green or red flags up on laws in your neighborhood.

Id suggest—just in case, that you wrap you filters and top of you tanks or maybe cover them good, but I wouldn’t want anything getting air-born into the filter or through the air surface of the tank.

With winter nearing its end and spring around the corner (sooner in southern states) I wanted to bump this thread as a reminder.--------Look for those Yellow,Orange, Red or Green flags on lawns & keep windows closed.

Thank you for taking the time to bump this thread. I would have never thought twice about it otherwise.
