Invert Disease?

Hello all, I am woundering if fresh water clams are susceptible to diseases and parasites? I am geting a shipment today and don't want to risk any of my fish if they are. Any help is appreciated thanks!

please research the types of clams you have. some clams the larval stage ataches itself to the gills of fish. they can also cary internal parasites from birds but a quarantine of a month or so should eliminate that if present because it will die without a fish host after matureing inside the clam

Oh sorry they are golden clams I belive they dont have the parasitic larval stage. I was talking about any other type of disease or parasite. Such as ich and so on.
