Hi all

I bought a couple of fish that were supposed to be a Jaguar and motaguense.

I have been advised that they may both be Parachromis loisellei. Can anyone please confirm this. What sex do you think they are?

The first picture is of the two fish a few hours after i received them.

The second picture is of the Jag, he had just pinched the oscars meal so has a big stomach.

The third is of the motaguense

Sorry i meant are they the same species.

When they sold me the ish they said both the jag and mota's were in the same tank.

What i think is that they gave me two mota's instead of jag and mota?

If they are i'm hoping that they turn out to be male and female. I suspect they are both females though.

It's the lack of brown flecks trough the body and finnage that is confusing me. I sent the pictures to the guy on Aquamojo and he said it was a Parachromis loisellei is that another name for red tiger mota. I think they are both very similar.

Neither of them are a jag which is what i ordered so will get back to the supplier.

Thanks for your comments everyone

i love the pics of your fish zorro you can tell that they are going to be beautiful adults
