i just got 2 new plecos 2day but i dont no how big they get and i was wondering if some one could give me some answers, I got a buterfly and peppermint pleco and i was wondering how big the get. i would have pics but the charger 4 my camera is broke. here is some pics om my golden nugget i got it like a 2 weeks ago!some one pleazz help!!!

The peppermint pleco will get to be about 7" and the butterfly will get to be about 6" or so. That is a pretty close ball park.

GEEZ!! I jumped on the thread because the title made it look like someone has a real problem with their fish. Do you whine about everything that's not an emergency? It's not as if the plecos will quadruple in size overnight.

That's just your run-of-the-mill pleco crash-test dummy. Taken from:

One of my friends bought a 2" golden nugget put it in a 100g and was ignorant enough to leave 15 1.5" wolfish and some 20 3" Raphaels inside. The pleco ate all fish, busted the tank, crawled downstairs, emptied the fridge, ate 2 half-lambs from the freezer. He then busted the door to the garage, sucked away a 50' firehose and the lawnmower and took off with the family van.
When the state troopers stopped him he looked just like Oddball's granpa. Be very careful!

Also Benfica lost 3/4 of his (already tiny brain) to a golden nugget. It sucked it through his ear when doing a WC.
