i'd use use metro-soaked food and some of the jungle parasite clear, but always keep clout around just in case it gets serious.

Sounds like Hexamite, ive heard good things about a product by Jungle called Hole N Head, just do a treatment everyother day along with a 25% water change for 3 days. It should clear up.
