i was at the feed store today and i came across some chicken scratch all it seems to be is small granite or some other grey white stone and its cheap do you guys think it would work?
its 8 dollars for a 50 lbs bag

Sure it wasn't crushed oyster shells?

Sure, chickens and pigeons love it and it's good for them. :D

If your thinking aquarium...no...screws up the pH.

It would only screw up the PH if it was something you didn't want to mess with.. not much unlike a lot of the substrates used that are very high in PH for say Tangs

they use it with chickens with digestion in their gizzard!
yea i think pH will go up not positive on that! and would be very dusty and hard to clean! probably as hard if not harder to clean than flourite and crushed coral

alot of it is granite but it depends on where you live and where it was made
