i know there are a lot of species of scorpions but every site i go to doesnt give detailed info about them.
what are some good looking scorpions that grow to a small adult size. preferably 2-3-4(max)

Most of the smaller species you'll see for sale are dangerously venomous, like the Fattails, and Deathstalkers. Bark scorpions are also small, not as deadly, but still have a nasty sting.

Bark scorps (Centruroides sp) are 1-3 inches.

Too much care lol? Scorps are require about the least maintenance of any animal. You should get a Flat Rock scorpion. You put it in a box and feed it twice a year, that's about it :)

flat rocks get up to 8 inches. no way i can keep him in my 3 gallon.
im sticking to water but if i do decide to get a scorpion i think i might get an emperor.

A flat rock is the longest scorp, but they're mostly tail, especially the males. An emperor is much more bulky, and active, and needs a much bigger tank than a FR.
I've never heard of a prepared food for scorps...but anythings possible.

And they have the lowest venom toxicity of any scorp. LD (lethal dose) is 2000 to 2600. To compare, a wasp is about LD35, and a Deathstalker is LD.10.
And flat rocks almost never sting lol anyways.

I used to keep a flat rock in a sandwich container lol. They don't really move much.
It's not a matter of making it, it's getting the animals to eat it.

Scorpions require less care than shrimps... in my opinion. I got two in their 3rd instars in a delicup for the moment, then I will switch them to a Rubbermaid shoebox once they enter the final instar.

SimonL

Mantis are cool and all, but damn, I can't spend money on something that'll only live a year max. I'd have to get them breeding. Or get a colony of those Violin mantis.
