I agree with most of your ratings except for Fish Safari and Animal Jungle.

Fish Safari I'd rate a definite 5 due to their willingness to do special favors, make special orders, etc. Also, they have the best reef store in the area. Most importantly, though, their fish are always perfectly healthy, and they quarantine new arrivals. They always seem to be disinfecting a tank here and there in preparation for new arrivals. From time to time when I ship fish to friends, they are always happy to help me and offer me use of their O2 tank at no charge. I am a regular customer there in an effort to support a truly well run operation.

Animal Jungle, on the other hand, deserves a lower rating. They have a huge store and a big selection, but the care they offer their fish is just awful. I've never been in that store without seeing a solid 10-20% of their fish obviously diseased or otherwise generally unhealthy. Their cichlids are particularly bad as they will take in any fish from the public and put it right in with their new arrivals, no matter the size or aggression level of either. They have no understanding of cross contamination, and they never disinfect their tanks after a disease breakout. Their knowledge is sorely limited too. For instance, they have a nice new pair of Black Belts in right now and are trying to feed them rosey reds...... Feeder fish for herbivores. If it weren't for the rest of the store (hard goods, furry animals, etc.), I'd swear they'd be losing money as they seem to kill more fish than they sell! I hate to say all that, but it's been the truth for years and years. It's really hard to imagine that they wouldn't do a better job. They obviously like getting in new and interesting fish of all types, but they never really make it work as it should.

Small. They seem to take care of their tanks but I've only been in there a few times. They also care birds and reptiles. (***)

I would definitely have to agree with cc about animal jungle. They have got to be one of the most horribly run fish rooms I've ever encountered. I know several of the fish room employees personally and if you heard about the kinds of things that went on there you'd be appalled. Unfortunately they will continue to be profitable because most people that frequent there are clueless and will listen to any babble that is thrown at them.

Care-a-lot has always impressed me as far as tank cleanliness and fish health.

Fish Safari has got to be the hands down best place for marine though. I love that place. As far as it being a little bit pricier than the competitors, I guess you get what you pay for.
