i just love the way that my blue diamond phoenix is peaceful with anything. in the tank with him are 2 parrots, 2 mystery lake fish, 1 clown loach, 1 giant danio, 1 horsefaced loach, 1 pleco, and 1 red paddletail eel which i rarely see. before the tank was just bare with the 2 rocks, so i decided to add a few plants here n there.

nice fish but the gravel looks cheap im my opinion. but i prefer a more natural looking tank. you are lucky to see no aggression from the FH. i wouldnt be suprised to wake up one morning to find a dead parrot though

Actually, i'd be really suprised, ive had him for over a year and not once have i seen a sign of any aggression whatsoever. He won't even touch the little rosy red feeders. Btw, i kno you werent tryin to insult me or anythin, but what do you mean exactly when you say my gravel looks cheap?

Nice tank I like the Flowerhorn, but like they say try to go with a more natural look. thats What I do at least.... hey you really need to come check out my tanks. David and Hans came to see it and they didnt complain. we need to decide what to do with those empty 29s. I will come pick up some Africans 2morow.

sorry blazn i missed your question about the blue gravel. without sounding stuck up its kind of one of those 'dad buys son a fish tank with bright coloured gravel' things. persoanlly i dont think the bright colour looks natural so i always try to emulate the natural sourroundings for my fish as if in the wild (you cant do that for a FH of course) so i use natural gravels and river sands or stones and rocks. also the blue will show any dirt in the tank very well and will stain in about a year. you are right i wasnt trying to be rude just honest mate
