Crayfish mating??

I have two crayfish living in my piranha tank (they're the only tankmate's he'll let live)and today i saw them wraped around eachother, with the one crayfish holding the others claws. They swam around the tank for a bit and then laid on the bottom for at least 10 minutes before letting go. Then they just went about their business.

Was that just some sort of stand-off, or were they mating?

They were breeding, It looks more like rape most of the time. Here is a photo of some Oronectes limosus breeding. These two were so into it they didnt stop when i put them on my drum case for the photo shoot. Movie stars in the making :ROFL:
