I agree, its really mis-informative =( I told a few people that when they tried buying a pacu. They didnt buy it either! yay.

I completely laughed when they listed the Pacu has growing to 10 inches. And I've even seen them selling Parrot cichlids that were dyed, as they had all different colors.

Especially the pacus! I'm not sure if clown loaches will out grow their tanks or only grow as big as the tank allows though...... Had one before but it ended up dying of white spot. Aparently they get sick if they have any stress at all..... I think my oscar stressed him out......

Yeah i also noticed that Walmart has totally wrong information on their fishes, and at the walmart that i go to i also saw some clown loaches but they were not orange with black stripes like how they were suppose look, Instead they looked light yellow (pale) with light grey stripes. Maybe they were really stressed out, and did not look healthy at all.

i live in the Walmart capital of the world, Northwest Arkansas where wal-mart was born and let me tell you in aint any better here. I was a new state of the art walmart and they had the pacu labeled as pirhanas, they had oscars and neons in teh same tank, and they had butterfly fish in tanks with the goldfish. Then another one had Dragonfish labeled as some kind of catfish, cant remember just remembered a cory have one swallowed by one, i almost got the dragonfish because none of the storesa sell them around here, but then i thought, well my empty tank is now where my Rams and there babies are and that i would never by fish from walmart.

i was nice when i told the guy it was wrong info and he said i was dumb
its almost as bad as the place in philly that tried selling a guy a arowana and a aligator gar and said they can spend there lives in is 100 gallon after i pissed the guy who worked there off the customer left and didnt buy the fish

That is nothing new for a chain pet/fish store, they will tell you anything to sell you a fish. Funny that I recently posted a thread on some monster loaches:

wal-mart is horrible at labeling fish. the sad part is, the fish in my 12gal. are all from wal-mart. the only good part was, the labels were all messed up so the lady at the check out only made me pay for three of the 7 fish i bought. i will never buy fish from there again unless it is rare and under priced.

I will give Wal-Mart credit for 2 things:
1- You can get a 55 gal. complete set up with a stand for less than $300

and

2- Their fish food prices are cheap.

That is all.

I got into a huge argument with a wal-mart EXPERT in the fish department over clown knives. He had them labled as peacful community fish and a max size of 12". He actually insulted me a couple of times verbally. well little did he know that his manager was one of my oldest friends so i just let him know what had happend. But I did that after I took a page out of one of my fish magazines and professionally package taped it to the front of the aquarium that the knives were in. Needless to say I won that fight. :headbang2 chalk up one for the MFK's
