I bought a new plec from my local fish shop. I think he is georgous but need more information on him. He is under 2" at the moment. Can you tell me a little about him.
Im trying to decide wether to put him in the 90gal or 180gal depending on the adult size. He is in a quarantine tank at the moment.

Thats what they labeled it as but it did not look like any of the pictures that i had seen on hte internet.
It only cost me £4 so i thought that was too cheep for a nugget.

Wowwww.. Over 300 species of plecos and its assumed to be a Gold Nugget or Gibbiceps. (AKA Very Very Common 'Fancy' plecos..)
I think you might want to take your topic to PlanetCatfish or ScotCat if you wan't it more approriately identified.. I can guarantee you it is neither of the two stated.
(Keep in mind fellas, there is more to identifying fish then pretty colors or nice patterns.. Can you count the dorsal rays in that picture? Can you tell whether it is an armored panaque or not? The coloration pattern has very little to do with it, as many plecos patterns change with age..)
