What size pleco is good for a 55 gal tank? Problem is that I have him with a oscar and when I try to feed him algae discs my oscar eats them..... He also has to be big enough that my oscar can't boss him around..... I just worry about him not having enough to eat since his primary diet is the algae in the tank itself. Any advise?

it would help if u posted in the pleco section of the bottom dwellers forum.
what species of pleco is it? for a 55gal, anything that grows less than 12" is fair game as long as the oscar cant eat him.

try feeding produce items
such as romain lettuce, blanched carrots (boiled for 30sec to 1min) zuicini, squashes, mustard greens, potatos slices, kiwi's even alfalfa pellets, my pleco and herbivores love the stuff :grinyes:
unless you oscar decide to go 100% vegatarian he wont touch the stuff
hope this helps
