What kind of peacock bass is a lukanani? Can I get a rundown of facts, like size, water quality, decorations? I am extremely interested in one of these but did not want to get it because I thought my 125 was too small. it probably still is. I posted a similar post in the general aquaria discussion section.

I tried to figure it out this way, im going to the fish store with my digital camera to figure out what kind of fish they are exactly, but they are just juveniles.

I think lukanani may just be a general term for cichla. I could be wrong though...

Size will depend on what type it turns out to be. If you can get a pic we may be able to ID it.
You should keep them with temps of 82-86*F

Lukanani is the name for Cichla in Guyana. Tucunare in Spanish South America and Pavon in Brazil.

I picked up 4 of these guys @$13 a piece, they look just like the monos I got 2 days before at a different store in the same area for $15 a piece, and they came in to the store the same day so I think that the ones I got are all Monos.
