I got one motoro from NE cichlids and the other 3 from TFD. The tank is 220 gallon with a 80 gallon sump. The foot print is 72" X 27" which should be good for a year or two. Once they get around 14 inches I am going to move them to a indoor pond. My plan is to get rid of the one smaller male then I will have 1 male and 2 females.

I have been digging around looking at pics and have come to the conclusion that the ray I have in the first pic is a Castexi Motelo instead of the castacensis. It was labelled as a turtle ray with no scientific name attached.

It is simple a CASTEXI or OTORANGO ray. There a million names out there that people make up.

Is the castacensis a castexi ray as well? Has anyone kept them? I think they are one of the nicer looking rays in my opinion.
