need to know what types of cichlids will go good in a 40 gallon tank? :feedback:

rams of any sort, a convict, a jack dempsey, 2-3 jewels, angelfish, most Tanganyikan cichlids excepting frontosa.

what about a 10 gallon tank will a male and female ram cichlid work in a 10 or 15 gallon tank

P45, you forgot to add Emperor cichlids on the no go list from Tanganyika

i just doubted he'd ever find one of those at a lfs. 2 rams in a 10g will prolly work.

u can keep trios ina 10 gallon , i use a 5 for fry raising

like nick said, apistos! truly dwarf cichlids.

10-15gal would be ok for a pair of ram.

Apisto or blue Rams
they are both great looking fishes
Personally I love Apistogramma-cacatuoides(triple-red), because it is a really easy fish to keep and really colorful.
Bolivian Ram is easier to take care than german blue ram..
1 pair of rams OR a trio of apistos!!

and..p45..fronts are tanganyika cichlids..not malaw...lol
