Whenever I try to take a picture of a fish in an odd position, I do use screenshots-it allows you to get the best possible picture, very helpful and NOT against the rules.

I agree that's why I try to be objective and pick what I think is the best overall pic for MFK. That's why this month although I'm not a big piranha guy I went with #5 just because it's a good pic (color, quality, unique).

And if you would like to argue that it is not a pop contest when names are involved you are more gullible than I thought...

I will refrain from future contests then... maybe update rules and allow people to have water markings and such if you are allowing it for others...

Of course a well-taken photo will have much better chances in winning the contest I guess since you must be able to see the subject, and that the subject has to interest you enough to make you want to vote :D

I voted for the best quality photo. It's a lot harder to get a great photo of average subjects than a crappy photo of a nice fish.

Photo 35 is obviously the best photo in regards to clarity and composition.

I agree, I wouldn't say obviously though. I think 13, 14, 21, 34, 35 and 36 are all quality photos from a technical aspect. Few others there that I also think are very nice shots but theres also a few that really don't belong in the competition. Personally, I'll be disappointed if 7 does win, no disrespect to whoever took the photo intended.

My point being, people should vote on the photo in its entirety. quality, subject & composition. not because they know who's photo/fish it is. and certainly not on a comment they read on page 7 on the thread.

Seriously, I don't submit pics of my tanks, cause then people know. I shoot friends & familys tanks. & the occasional belly of a shark from under it (see March)

It isnt even in good focus.
