Hello, yesterday I showed my mom what an Arowana looks like and she said they were cool! Then I asked if I could get one,and she said yes but how much do they go for? I said 30.95 which is the price for them at my LFS. Then I told her they need a Minnimum of 125 gallons. She said ok,but you have to save up for one. I think it's cool! Comments and Suggestions here....

If it's easy to get a aro over your side, you can always get the tank first.

Your gonna need a tank that is a least 6'x2'x2' for about the first 4 years. With proper care a silver aro will reach well over 30" and need to be kept in a 8' x 30" x 24" tank

a 120 should be fine...4x2x2

Much better for you to just give no advice. Only a very poor excuse of a fish keeper would keep a 30" fish in a tank that size:screwy:

Just go with the 180 6x2x2 for now... in a few years, work hard and earn money to buy a Bigger tank like a 370 gal or more, and then sell back the 180 to get some money back!
