I just bought this pleco today I had reserved it about a week ago but the shop wanted to make sure it was feeding. I just put it in a few hours ago and it had a bit of a stand off with my syno but they settled things shortly after and now share the same cave. I have bogwood for it to gnaw on and havent tried feeding it yet but have cumcumber, corgette, bloodworm and Nova pleco wafers (which contain 10% wood) ready for it. It has been hiding away as expected but should come out soon hopefully. If anyone has any tips about keeping these please share them with me :-). Please tell me what you think of it. Also sorry for the bad pic it was the best I could get but hopefully should get some better ones later.

Thanks for all the good comments. Its about 5-6". The store is really good they get rays feeding on frozen prawns before they sell them and I think most aro's onto pellets. These are the pleco wafers http://www.aquariumsuperstore.co.uk/mall/jblplecochips.asp . They are pretty hard and thick so that you can leave them in the water for up to 24 hours for more shy species to come and feed and they wont pollute your tank.

Its in sort of a medium size community at the moment. Soon (about a month ) I am going to be getting a 5x2.5x2.5 which I will keep a asian aro and other non agressive predators in for awhyle so I think I will put it in there.
