What is wrong with my tropical gar!?

Have noticed that he is getting white/tannish creases/lines down its face. The lines that run down his snout and around his eyes are getting a weird look and color to it! Will post pics later. Any1 know what this could be? Diet has been very good over the last couple months too and water conditions are good?
