I just purchased a p niger at 8-9 inches. anyone know what they usuallly eat? how big they get?

You can feed them on bloodworms, earthworms, crayfish, ghost shrimp, mussel meat, clams, market raw shrimp, chunks of fish, etc. This is one of the larger rip-saw cats that'll reach almost 40".

I give mine earth worms and sinking pellots, anything that sinks, they will eat.

As for me, i feed them with sinking pellets and market prawn.

FYI, it is good to use market prawn to pump up their mass!!!

They're more active when young. That should give you some indication of their inactivity as mature specimens. They're nocturnal and most active after the lights go out.
