Have you considered caulk? It can make great gaskets and can be removed with a razor blade.

Typically I'll find a sink gasket and use it They make a few different sizes for drains and such. Give it a shot. Otherwise, a razor blade is about your best bet.

or you can take pipe(thin wall is best) the right diameter and put it were you want it and smack w/ a hammer. kinda like a cookie cutter. thats how i make round gaskets, i shake way too bad to freehand anything.

Large o-rings can work in some cases, or, as NilePufferFanatic said, caulk. Put a bead of silicone around the bulkhead and then tighten it just enough so the silicone starts to squeeze out the edges. After it has cured tighten the nut on the bulkhead the rest of the way.

ummm whats the point of getting silicone instead of gaskets. with gaskets there quik and temporary. also utlilty knife or box knives is the correct term for what most peoiple call stanley knife. what if your stanley knife is not made by stanley company, then its a utility kife which is the correct term for theese kinives
