you have 2 have a big tank because they need the space, i have one and at first had it in a 75g than moved it to 125g now it is in a 210g. they are nocturnal and they will eat anything that moves. set it up w/ some driftwood and canes so it can hide in the daylight. ph at 7.0 and moderate harness, temp 75-82 will be good and make sure the tankmates are bigger than it or they will be eaten, i have mine in w/ my gars and everything is fine.

In the pics shown...the SH seemed to be missing its tail already...bitten off by the wolf guy!?!

I wanted to keep one as well but after hearing how it can rip off the tummy of asian aros...i changed my mind...

The wolf fish and the snakehead had gotten along fine for a couple months, when the owner walked in one day and saw that...

Wolf fish are tough if you get a scrappier its trouble.
My 13" wolf worked over my 26" cobra. I put the divider
in but that night the cobra jumped over got into a nasty
pit fight and jumped out of my tank.

I thought I heard something around 2: am in the morning.
Anyways I wake up around 9:am go down to check the fish
and Cobra is behind my tank wedged and dry. I get him out
and in the sink and I see a slight movement. I put cobra
back in the tank and he came back to life. I'm glad I was off
work yesterday to save him.

Yeah micropeltes are nasty I had some bigg'uns.
If that micro wasn't a juvi, both fish would be shredded.

your 13" wolf wrecked your 26" cobra? i just don't see how that can possibly happen... the wolf can fit in the cobra's mouth for chrissake...

I believe that story... Wolfs are unbelieveable as to the damage they can wreak... Red wolfs, while small can be kept in a 20 long or a 30g... As they get bigger, increase tank size...

makes about as much sense to me as oscar de la hoya beating down muhammed ali.

If you put Oscar and Ali in a ring say today, I would put my money's on Oscar.
Cobra got a few bites in but wolf slit Cobra face and descaled him in a few places.

It was a pit fight on the small side of the divider so wolf had the advantage.

I think the Cobra could kill the wolf maybe, if he could get that good shot in
but I don't want that to happen. So wolf has to go.
