Hi there.....Does anyone have any suggestions for an invertebrate tankmate for a motoro stingray?

good luck with that one lol.

Not trying to be mean but chances are it will be eaten if its not too big. I'd just save your money

Thats kinda what I figured. I just need something to eat algae, other than a pleco. I'm afraid a pleco will suck on the stingray.

Thanks for the reply!!

Rays love inverts to munch on, I have never kept one but every source I have read has said that they are a major food source for them.
If you can find one try a river goby (Awaous banana), they get to about a foot long and feed mainly on algae. Maybe a Florida member can find one for you as they are native there. this picture is By Juan Miguel Artigas Azas.

I keep a LARGE freshwater prawn with my 10" humerosa no problem. I am a little worried about the prawn taking chunks out of the ray, never been a problem. They ray is not going to mess with this bad boy prawn, and the prawn, despite being a real SOB , does not bother the ray.

But, this would not help you with your algae... but looks cool!!

Will the rays eat snails? If not they would be an option.
