this behavior is new, for some reason they like to clear the sand from this area

id did the measuring during feeding time
they seem to always like being next to the glass :)

WOW!!!!!! they r freaking GIANTS!!!!! NICE SHARKS DUDE!!!! NOW R THEY PRETTY ACTIVE AT THAT SIZE OR DO THEY MOSTLY LAY AROUND? IT BE REAL COOL IF THEY GO CRAZY LIKE THEY DO WHEN THEIR LITTLE I'VE HAD A BUNCH OF THEM BUT ALWAYS HAD BADLUCK WITH THEM.BIGGEST I HAD ONE GROW WAS A WOPPING 4"1/2 AND I THOUGHT IT WAS A WHALE :)

they actually just lay around most of the time, that is until feeding time. . ;)

so whats the best food to go with to help grow like urs???? b.t.w. how old r they? and how big were they when u got them?

they where tiny!! about 2 inches, they are 3 years old right now.
they eat what i feed the rest of my tank
hilari color enhancing pellets and market prawns, also cocktail shrimps, these are their favorite :grinyes:
and also whenever i feed algae wafers they take these too.

mine used to love those alge waffers to and prawn aswell they were in my 55g and were 2''L but for some reason they just never really grew and just would die. at first i thougth it was the water and they were ready to go in saltwater but they were always active and never showed a signs distress +they were only 4'' long and less then 2 years old .i would love to try again but now i dont know weather to get them or a different and easier type of cat. got any ideas ???? one that would look nice and will to a pretty good size in a new 75g bow??? :drool:

you could try a white line pimelodus
mine is 7in about
but he hides alot, thoguh he does come out at night to cruise around
very nice looking fish
the very long barbels are quite a sight

I actually bought a handfull last night.My oscars killed 2 of the four.I took the others back tonite.I will go out later this week to another store and grab a couple bigger ones.I was really hoping I could get away with the little guys,but ended up being a bad gamble.
