Like the title says folks, I am in the middle of planning a Meet at Piranha Realms in St.Louis to help support George and his incredible Public displays.
Piranha Realms has 12-4,000g aquariums and is stocked with some really big fish! There are tons of cichlids for the cichlid lover and other fish like Knifefish(huge and breeding) and big Red Tail Cats in a tank with full grown Marmorata Pikes! He also has some smaller tanks that he calls River Tanks.
George runs this place by himself(a one man show) and he built all of these tanks as they are custom plywood enclosures. These tanks are awesome as you will see cichlids and other fish behave like they would in the wild because they have huge territories in these tanks!

There are other local activities to make it a fun trip for the whole family!
I will post again after a date is chosen.
For now the 2 tentative dates are May17 & 31, mainly because these are Saturdays and there is Cardinal Baseball Home Games on those nights!

Admission to Piranha Realms is only $2ea person.
I know many of you would need to travel but this will be a fun time for anyone up for the drive!

For now please let me know in this thread if you are interested and for what date as we narrow it down.

Thanks, Rich

So, today was a great day outside! Beautiful weather! It may of been the reason why only about a dozen folks came out today!
For those that made the trip out Thanks A Bunch for supporting George and his aquarium!

Here are some pics of some of the fish, many pics did not come out as it is almost impossible to take pics due to the way the lighting is.

Your display aquarium should be blacked out with a black sand substrate also. Then use rocks/driftwood/live plants for aquascape. These 2 fish will indeed grow into show fish! By his time next year you will be amazed at their mature coloration! Congrats!

I just last week sold the Firemouth that survived to another mfk'er with an Exasperatus cichlid. The one Firemouth killed the other one about a couple months after I got them. I'm not sure of the members name but he is young and always in the cichlid forums.
