View Full Version : Picked Up A Breeder Tank Today

My big male has been doing double duty and has a girlfriend on either side of the tank. On one side is a red leopard like himself, the other is a blue snakeskin. I put them into a 10g and they hated it and wouldn't breed. So today Hank @ Connies in CV gave me a deal on a 20g. I filled it with half tank water and half tap, heater, air stone and hopefully by tomorrow they can go in. They are breeding like once a week and I'm getting really tired of all my fry getting eaten. Heres a pic from the 10g. I'll let you know how their doing!

wow they look small. my discus are almost 6 inches and haven't paired off to spawn yet.

those are some nice looking fish, good luck breeding them.

This is the really bad part of breeding. 3 spawns and all eggs eaten. When they were in the big tank the hatched and were only eaten by the other discus when they became free swimmers. I'll keep trying...
how big are these? looks like they are 4.5" or something like that...

They're about 5-6" now. Isolating them in the breeder tank packed on a couple pounds(oz's).
