Here is my new discus tank, been cycling for a little while and decided it was ready for the discus. Any comments or constructive criticism? Have in there with 7 cardinal tetras, a fire eel, three clown loaches, and an albino bristlenose pleco. . . .Fire eel is a champ, already eats out of my hand I'm hoping that he doesn't decide to make a snack out of the tetras, but from what I understand it's less likely if they were put in the tank at the same time when they were both small. Keeping a lot of the plants in their little pots and crammed into crevices in the rock/log to keep the eel from digging up the roots, Discus seem to really enjoy hiding among the leaves of the sword plant.

great tank, if you wanted, you could do some rummy nose tetras if you think you have enough room, and keep your eel well feed and he shouldn't snack on the cardinals

Keep that water clean, change as much as possible and your fish will grow large and thrive! Enjoy!
