Very, very cool! Definitely a groundbreaker in the world of stingray keeping.
Anders - Any idea what size tank the other german had bred/kept them in?

Congrats Frank! I posted this in the other thread but ill post it again, I think this is what Stefan was talking about.. I believe one female came in pregnant and the other was completely captive bred.. Could very easily be wrong and it wouldnt be the first time..

Hi Frank- Congrats! Do you happen to know the disc width of the females who gave birth? I've suspected that the reason there haven't been more of these is that the females seem to need to be really big to be mature but wondering if perhaps your females were smaller at birth. Did you find that this was a pretty long pregnancy comparred to other Potamotrygons?

We have a tiger female coming in, and we are going to be picking up a male here rather soon. What size tank did you breed them in? PH, temp, etc? Tankmates?
Sorry for the questions, but we hope to breed too, so... :)

Fantastic! 2nd to the Shedd Aquarium? There should be an icon for some kind of goofy worshiping gesture on here...

go to franks website you will see the mega tank... and tyson and some people in germany bred them before frank did... ph is not a factor it all falls back to the KISS method
