takes a while.. Thats why dats at large sizes are expensive. I would say they an inch per 2-3 months. best way is to feed them a regular diet of feeder fish . Just q the fish . That and the clean water of course.

i find their growth rate extremely slow.
if u wan them to grow fast, then u got to feed them with tons of feeders...
for mine ST i feed them with MP and the grow rate is like 1inch every 4 months??

feed a varied diet, such as beef liver, krill, ghost shrimp, beef heart, blood worms, black worms. they learn to take these readily, and it is much healthier than straight up feeders... and less chance of disease. they are very slow

tried feeding mine bloodworms and beefheart but wont take it. He ate a little bit if dried krill. He also staying on the corner kinda to his side. Is it because hes stress? or scared of my arrow since my arrow is about 9 inches. and hes about 3-4 inches.

it's a time consuming thing. they wont starve if you force it on them day after day.

Datnoids are very slow growers. It will take a few years to be considered a monster.

Datnoids do not seem to do what we expect them to do. There is no sure shot or rule to get them to show off but I have gotten mine to stress less when I have lots of decorations and plants (artificial). The hide anyway for about 7-14 days. They eat during that time but not prepared foods. Some will take live blackworms but some not. I always feed them feeder guppies or rosy reds as wll as feeder ghost shrimp during their first week with me. After that, I start with krill daily until they eat it. Some hold off more than others but eventually they will eat.
Good luck with them and don't worry too much because if they came from Wes they will be in top shape.

Datnoid pulcher are relatively slow-growing and long-lived i have been told that a proper filtration system would help greatly in their growth rate too.
